Smith Publicity for Book Publicity, Book Promotions and Marketing

I’m adding Smith Publicity to my repertoire of contacts. They’re recommended by Cornerstones as a leading provider of book publicity, book promotion and book marketing services.

As self-promotion becomes increasingly important for any writer these days, Smith Publicity could provide a very useful marketing platform for any marketing novice (such as myself) in the publishing industry.

If anyone has acquired Smith Publicity’s services please share your experience in the comments section below.

They did VERY little for me over 3 months and $12,000. Disappointing to say the least.

      $12K – Wow!

Could you elaborate on what you received from this, what you expected but didn’t receive, what you were happy about with the service etc. Your info would really help others on this site make an informed decision. Thanks!

Let me just say that this was my third published novel, and I had had PR help before which was much more effective but no longer available, so I was looking for replacement. Novels do not fit all book publicists’ way of doing things. They did everything you’d probably do for a “how to” or professional non-fiction work, but it takes knowing the right media people and a bit more creativity to get even a good novel on current topics noticed. They should have told me they don’t or can’t handle fiction, and saved me some hard-earned money. They did find a good reviewer at the Florida Bar Review who rendered an honest and positive review – that’s it.
